I was happy to have 2 entries accepted for this publication by Ellen Bakker. I enjoy the book and presentations from felters around the world. I also had the pleasure of meeting several of these talents through he years. Vilte and Charity, your teaching helped me get started as a felter. And to all the talents I met along the way, you all inspired me and I enjoyed meeting and felting together!
The texture that can be achieved with felt and the luster from silk makes for interesting possibilities in wall art, maybe mixed with other techniques.
Just finished this with lace pieces mixed with recycled, textured silks. I made a corset lacing in the back to allow for top to be easily put on, while allowing for snug fitting
Lately I have been experimenting with wet felting and sculptural effects/textures. So many possibilities.. and really hard work..
I have so much fun using recycled materials. Mixing patterns and colors and creating a whole new surface with the softest merino wool binding it all together. It is like painting with fibers..
